Counsellor profiles

Google Business Profile for counsellors

When Google’s eligibility allows a listing, we align the counsellor Business Profile with the site we publish—practice name, phone, public room or service area only if you agree, counselling services that match the HTML, and BACP status exactly as held. Alder Quay is a designed example, not a live profile; we do not invent categories, upgrade member to accredited, pin a home address by default, or promise map-pack placement.

The website we deliver

Eligibility before counsellor wording

Google’s Business Profile eligibility and representation guidelines decide whether a listing exists—pure online work with no place clients visit may mean no profile; that path is Google Business Profile for online therapists, not a fake shopfront.

We do not claim a profile for a business Google will not list. Category choice happens in Google’s live chooser—Google Business Profile categories for therapists explains why we do not print a frozen menu here.

Same words as the website

Member, registered member and accredited member are different—match how to display BACP membership on a website and presenting therapy credentials clearly. The profile does not upgrade status; structured data on the site repeats only what the visible about page states.

Phone is one you answer. Services in the profile are services on the site—not a longer menu of modalities you do not offer. Photos are ones you can license; we do not add stock portraits.

Profile facts we align versus marketing we refuse.

Reviews and confidentiality

We do not script review requests that invite clinical detail—see therapist Google reviews and ethics. Confidentiality is not a slogan on the marketing site.

Broader therapist profile setup stays on Google Business Profile for therapists; local SEO for therapists is the studio service when a room and consistent NAP are in scope.

Website and profile alignment in the build

Counsellor sites with local pages ship in counsellor website design and local SEO for therapists—£149 setup and £49 a month on Standard Managed for 12 months, then £39; Prices include VAT.

Standard Managed is £149 setup and £49 a month for 12 months, then Website Care at £39. Growth Managed is £249 and £69 a month, then £49, when each real service needs its own page. Creating a Google Business Profile is free when eligible; we do not sell listing management or map-pack guarantees. Outright is £650 or £995. When you open or change a profile, we update site copy and structured data in the same project so crawlers and the listing read one story.

Questions

Is this different from the therapist profile guide?
Yes. That guide stays general. This one uses counsellor wording and BACP status distinctions.
Can you say I am accredited?
Only if that is the status you hold today on the register.
Should clients review me on Google?
We do not ask them to describe the work in a review. That is an ethical limit, not a growth tactic.
