Speed habits on the site we compose

A portrait, a room and a logo are enough for most practices. We compress images, declare dimensions where it helps layout stability, and write alt text that describes them. Sliders, chat and booking scripts join the stack only when you already use that tool and it earns its place.

Core Web Vitals are the measures Google publishes for loading, response and visual stability. They are a checklist for the pages we ship; Lighthouse scores and before-and-after charts come from your URLs when we measure them.

Measurement before a claim

On a site we build, we keep the stack lean as part of delivery. On an existing public site, speed work starts with measuring that site and reporting what those URLs show.

WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and Webflow are capable hosts. Extra scripts are a choice; we keep the ones your practice uses and drop the ones that only slow the enquiry page down.

Useful text while the page loads

Answer engines need sentences, not only a full-width image. Google’s starter guide and image SEO both assume fetchable text. We mark the same service facts in structured data so ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity can cite the fee without waiting on a heavy hero.

Speed is part of the website we deliver, not a standalone product with its own price list. Standard Managed is £149 setup and £49 a month for 12 months, then Website Care at £39. Growth Managed is £249 and £69 a month, then £49, when each real service needs its own page. Prices include VAT. Outright is £650 or £995. Website Care is how later images and edits stay in the same habit. The domain stays in your name. The monthly fee on Managed is management, not paying the site off.

When we measured your site, we share that score. Numbers always come from your live URLs, not another project.
Is speed a separate product?
No. It is part of the bespoke website on Managed or outright. Website Care keeps later edits from undoing the same habits.
Do plugins make a therapist site slow?
They can. We keep the scripts your practice actually uses and avoid piling on widgets the enquiry page does not need.
