Photographs
Therapist website photos and imagery
We publish photographs you can licence—your portrait, your room, or type until you have files—with alt text that describes what is in the picture, not a keyword list. Linden Walk shows designed imagery on this studio site; we strip theme stock people and never imply a session or client in a frame.
Example bespoke sites
Linden Walk is a designed example in Edinburgh. Its photographs are concept frames labelled on this site—not your portrait set or proof that a clinic hired us.

Descriptions machines can quote.
Image sections attract keyword alt text. We keep licensed files with plain descriptions in HTML so Google, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity quote what is visible—not invented SEO phrases.

Image facts in data.
This block is on the page because imagery becomes keyword alt. The sample Service names a licensed picture and alt that describes it.

Alt text and decoration we ship
A portrait gets your name or “portrait of [name]” when that is what the file shows. A consulting-room shot gets words that describe the room when you hold permission to show it. Decorative marks get empty alt so screen readers skip them—we do not stuff towns and service names into alt attributes.
Google’s image SEO guidance and WCAG 2.2 agree: the description is the picture. Width and height on the img reduce layout jump; we do not claim an image will win a search position.
| We publish | Left off |
|---|---|
| Alt text that describes the file | Keywords in the alt attribute |
| Empty alt on pure decoration | Every flourish announced |
| Files you can use or licence | Theme people as your practice |
| Honest captions on room shots | A session staged as proof |
| Type-led layout when you have no photos yet | Stock faces presented as you |
Permission and pretence
A theme’s stock people are not your clients and not you—we remove them. A room you photographed, or licensed to you, can stay when the caption is honest.
We do not show a child’s face, a couple in session, or any person presented as a client. Portfolio frames on Therapist Website Studio are labelled designed examples; we do not reuse those files on your domain.
Launch without a shoot
If you have no pictures you can use yet, the site launches with readable type, fee and contact—the same HTML structure a portrait slot will use later. Swapping in licensed photos after launch is a management edit on a site we built, not a separate “imagery product.”
Portrait guidance for directories overlaps therapist directory photo guide. Wider colour and type choices sit in therapist website branding and therapy website accessibility.

- What if I have no photographs yet?
- We launch with type and a clear fee. Pictures are added when you have ones you can use.
- Should alt text include my town?
- Only if the picture is of that place and the words describe it—not as a phrase list.
- Do you use portfolio example photos on my site?
- No. Those frames are labelled concepts on this studio site only.
