Directory photos
Therapist directory photos
The portrait on your site and the crop Counselling Directory or Psychology Today ask for are separate files—we publish a photo only when you can use it, with alt text that describes the picture, not keywords. Alder Quay is a designed example frame; Linden Walk, Morrow Lane and Meridian Room follow the same rule on this studio site. We do not invent pixel sizes, upload to directories for you, or promise enquiries from a headshot.
Example bespoke sites
Alder Quay is a designed example in Bristol. Its portrait is concept layout—not proof of directory ranking or a live member upload.

Directory photo in data.
This block is on the page because photo SKUs appear in directory pitches. The sample Service names licensed portrait with alt on your site.

Portrait on the website you own
You need permission to use the file—your shoot, or licence from the photographer. Alt text states what the image is, usually your name and that it is a portrait, following Google image SEO guidance and WCAG—not a string of town keywords.
Stock therapy rooms can illustrate a space when the licence allows and alt text says room, not face. Builder theme faces are not published as you.
| On your site | Left off |

| Portrait you may legally use | Stock face presented as you |
| Descriptive alt text | Keyword-stuffed alt |
| Directory crop read on their upload screen | Pixel sizes we invented |
| Same person on site and listing when possible | Different people on profile and domain |
| No enquiry promise from a smile | Headshot sold as SEO |
Directory upload is yours
Operators such as Counselling Directory and Psychology Today UK show their own size limits on upload—we do not log in, retouch for their gallery sort, or charge a photo SEO fee.
Profile copy and fee belong on Counselling Directory profile and website; labelled fiction shapes are Counselling Directory profile examples.
One face, two hosts
When you use a listing, the visitor should recognise the person on your about page—Meridian Room, Linden Walk and Morrow Lane illustrations on this site are not substitutes for your file.
Therapy Search UK is a separate free directory, not this studio—use a portrait you may publish there too, without implying example practices are yours.
Image swap in care, not a photo product
