Maps
Google Maps on a therapist website
We embed a map when you want a public room shown—address in HTML first so visitors and crawlers read the building without loading tiles, then an optional embed beside it. Linden Walk is a designed example place, not a live pin; we do not embed a private home, hide the enquiry form behind a full-screen map on mobile, or claim the embed is a local ranking switch.
Example bespoke sites
Linden Walk is a designed example in Edinburgh. Its map is concept layout—not door-accurate directions we guarantee.

Edinburgh · online across the UK
Counselling and psychotherapy, named apart.
Choose the work that fits. Each has its own page, its own fee, and the same short way to write.

Counselling
A weekly place to start
£70
50 minutes · Edinburgh room or online
A weekly session for something you want to work on now. For adults, in Edinburgh or online.
Psychotherapy
Longer work, with its own page
£85
50 minutes · the pattern underneath
For a pattern that keeps returning, when a single conversation is not enough. Its own page, and its own fee.

Which are you asking about?
The form asks for counselling or psychotherapy, so the reply matches the work. It does not ask you to explain a history.
Name, email, which route, and Edinburgh or online.

Map embeds get sold as a local ranking lever. We ship provider code when you want illustration—not a fake shopfront or millisecond guarantee.

Under the surface
Map embed in data.
This block is on the page because map SEO gets priced separately. The sample Service names text-first address with optional public embed.

Address in text, map as optional help
The street, town and how to find the room live in sentences on the contact or location page. Someone who cannot use the map still has directions—that is the accessibility and SEO baseline.
NAP on the site and any profile should match—practice name, address and phone consistency. A pin without the same lines in HTML is incomplete work.
| On the page | Left off |
|---|---|
| Written address before the embed | Map as the only address |
| Embed only for a public room | Home location pinned quietly |
| Enquiry path still visible on phone | Map blocking the form |
| Provider embed code when you want it | Invented pixel dimensions |
| No tracking layer on health data | Map analytics on the form |
Online-only and town-only practices
Pure online work with no visitable room omits the embed—Google Business Profile for online therapists covers eligibility without a fake shopfront.
Town-only public copy without showing a building can name the town in text and skip the iframe; we do not paste a pin to “look local”.
Mobile layout and privacy
On a narrow screen the form and phone stay reachable—WCAG is why the map does not swallow the first screen.
The enquiry form beside the map asks for a name and a reply, not clinical detail—ICO special category data is why we keep marketing forms minimal.
Structured data includes a street only when the page shows it; crawlers read the text address, not the map tiles.
Maps inside the contact and location build
Embed decisions sit in therapist website design and local SEO for therapists—£149 setup and £49 a month on Standard Managed for 12 months, then £39; Prices include VAT.
Standard Managed is £149 setup and £49 a month for 12 months, then Website Care at £39. Growth Managed is £249 and £69 a month, then £49, when each real service needs its own page. We do not charge a separate “map SEO” fee or promise rankings because Google Maps was switched on. Outright is £650 or £995. If the provider’s embed snippet changes, we update the code in Website Care when the room is still public—you still choose whether the building is shown at all.

- Do I need a map?
- Only if you want a public room illustrated. Text address is the requirement.
- Will it slow my phone site?
- We keep it from sitting above the enquiry path. We do not publish a millisecond score.
- Can the pin be my house but hidden?
- No. An embed is public. Use town-only text if the street stays private.
