We do not pick a “winning” directory or reprint listing prices that change on someone else’s join page. We publish the practice website a listing should link to—fee, services and status in HTML—and name the checks you can run on their site: who verifies profiles, filters for work you actually offer, where enquiries go, and whether you can edit public words. Linden Walk shows composed pages on a designed example; Therapy Search UK is a separate free directory, not this studio and not part of a website build here.

Your domain is the long version
A directory is someone else’s list. The site we build is the page their listing can point at—fee in text, each real service named, status linked to the register you hold. If their form asks for a modality you do not offer, we do not add it on the website to match the form; the two should agree, and your domain carries the fuller copy you approved.
Counselling Directory’s join page and approval policy are their references; Psychology Today UK signup is another operator’s process. BACP’s therapist directory is a membership listing—the website still has to stand on its own if a crawler never opens the directory.

Checks before you pay a listing
Who approves or verifies profiles, whether visitors can filter for the work you actually offer, where the enquiry lands, and whether you can change public words when your fee moves—cost stays on the directory’s own page, not copied here.
Therapy Search UK is a separate free directory for practitioners who want another listing. It is not Therapist Website Studio, not included in a website build, and we do not submit or pay listings on your behalf.
Search and answer engines read your URL
Structured data on your site repeats the same fee and status as the visible paragraphs—helpful content is specific practice facts, not a keyword article aimed at strangers.
A listing that links home is a path for humans; it is not a ranking promise and we do not write that one directory will place you above another practitioner.
