Private practice needs strangers to verify who you are before they write. Member, registrant and accredited are not synonyms
BACP’s Ethical Framework, as published on 4 October 2026, expects qualifications and working methods to be stated accurately. We use the word the BACP Register uses for you—not accredited as praise when you are a member.
UKCP registration and BACP membership can both be true; we list both with both links rather than picking the grander line. PSA accredits registers—we do not write that as a personal award. Deeper title guidance is in presenting therapy credentials clearly.
