WordPress
We rebuild therapist WordPress sites as bespoke HTML on your domain—fees, credentials and structured data without theme-and-plugin maintenance on your clinical week.
WordPress powers a huge share of the web, on WordPress.com or self-hosted stacks with themes and plugins you choose. It is a capable system when someone named owns updates, backups and page structure. Therapist Website Studio is for therapists who want that ownership transferred to a managed bespoke build—crawlable service pages, JSON-LD beside visible fees, and migration mapping from your existing WordPress URLs—at published Managed or outright prices.
Example bespoke sites
Meridian Room is a designed example of a studio-hosted therapy site—not a WordPress theme export or plugin stack.

These meetings are not an assessment, and you are not asked to send a history. A loss, a relationship, or work are ordinary places to begin.

WordPress when it still works for you
A well-maintained WordPress site with clear service pages, fees in text and a trusted host can serve a private practice for years. If you or a colleague already handle updates and the enquiry path is obvious, staying on WordPress may be the right answer—we will say so on the consultation.
Therapists usually approach us when plugin sprawl, theme limits or page-builder blocks make fees and BACP or UKCP lines hard to keep consistent in HTML—or when the clinical week has no room left for security patches and backup drills.
Studio rebuild instead of another theme
We compose a bespoke practice site: each real service gets a URL when the reader or fee differs; session prices and register links sit in HTML with Service and Offer structured data; the studio hosts and maintains the layer after launch on Managed or Website Care.
The WordPress site can stay live while we build. Cutover uses your domain with permanent redirects for changed paths—usually within 7–14 days after discovery for most solo practices, with 2 design rounds at published prices.
| On many WordPress therapy sites | On the studio build |
|---|---|
| Page builder blocks or theme demo content | Copy written for your services and approved by you |
| Fees in widgets, PDFs or image sliders | Fee sentences in mobile HTML on each service URL |
| Plugin-dependent SEO or schema boxes | JSON-LD aligned with visible copy on studio hosting |
| You or a VA manage core updates | Managed term then Website Care on sites we built |
Migration guides and URL maps
Our moving a therapy website from WordPress guide walks through exports, redirects and what to check before DNS changes. The commercial migration offer on website migration for therapists is where we scope the full URL map and Google site-move process for your domain.
For a longer comparison of hosting choices, see WordPress for therapists in the UK—this page is the studio rebuild offer when WordPress is the platform you are leaving or simplifying.
Published build prices—no WordPress premium
Moving off WordPress uses the same tariffs as a new therapist site: Standard Managed £149 setup and £49/month for 12 months, then £39; Growth Managed when modalities split across URLs; outright £650 or £995. Prices include VAT.
We do not charge an extra line item for ‘leaving WordPress’—only the scope we agree after reading your live URLs.

- Can you maintain my existing WordPress site?
- We specialise in bespoke studio builds with managed hosting—not ongoing WordPress plugin administration. The consultation clarifies whether a rebuild or staying put is kinder.
- Will you import my WordPress blog posts?
- We migrate pages that still serve the practice—services, fees, policies clients need—not every historic post by default. Scope is agreed at discovery.
- Do rankings stay the same after leaving WordPress?
- Google notes rankings can fluctuate after platform and URL changes. We follow redirect and sitemap guidance; we do not guarantee positions.
