Wix for counsellors in the UK
Can a counselling practice run properly on Wix?
Yes, when the practice is simple and you will maintain it. Wix documents titles, descriptions, a sitemap, structured data, redirects and a Search Console connection. Use those. Rebuild when the live URLs and the services no longer match, not because Wix cannot be indexed.
A solo page plan that can live on Wix
That plan is enough for many independent counsellors. Give each page its own title. Connect Search Console. If you change an address, add the redirect in Wix while Wix still serves the domain. ADI sites and Editor sites can produce different URL patterns, so read the live addresses rather than guessing.
Platform details were checked against the vendors’ own pages on 3 October 2026. Plan names and prices change with currency, term and promotion, so the figure on the vendor’s pricing page that day is the one to use. This page does not copy a checkout price.
| Page | Job |
|---|---|
| Home | Who you see, where or online, and the next step |
| About | Your words and a link to the status you actually hold |
| One or two services | Only the work you want enquiries for |
| Fees | Length, price and cancellation, not a PDF |
| Contact | Name, email and a short note. No clinical history |
Stay and improve, or plan a move
Stay when a stranger can find the fee, the format and a way to write without opening five pop-ups. Improve the weak page before you buy a new site. Move when you cannot separate services, the contact form asks for a history, or the addresses colleagues already share do not match the pages. A move is a remake: Wix does not hand over the design as a working site.
The migration checklist covers export limits and DNS. The redesign page is the purchased rebuild, with a worked URL map. They are different jobs.
