New practices
SEO for a new therapy practice
A brand-new practice has no inherited URLs or Search Console history. Therapist Website Studio publishes who you see, the fee, the status you already hold and how to enquire in ordinary HTML, with structured data in the first build, then verifies Search Console once the site is live. There is no first-page date, no traffic curve and no cheaper new-practice tariff.
Example bespoke sites
Meridian Room is a designed example in Leeds. It is not a newly launched client site or proof of how fast a domain ranked.

Time enough to say what the trouble actually is
Individual psychotherapy, usually weekly. £85 for 50 minutes. Thursdays in Leeds, and online on the other days.

To see whether this work fits
These meetings are not an assessment, and you are not asked to send a history. A loss, a relationship, or work are ordinary places to begin.
Thursdays in the Leeds room. Other days online across the UK. Your name, your email, and which you prefer.

Facts machines can fetch early.
New domains have nothing to recrawl until HTML exists. We document first-site facts so Google, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity quote fetchable copy—not invented traffic curves.

Under the surface
New practice SEO in data.
This block is on the page because new practices are told to wait. The sample Service names first-site fee, service and status without inherited visibility.

}The website we deliver
The first site we publish is the SEO
Until public HTML exists, Google has nothing useful to recrawl for the practice name. Directories may list you, but the canonical fee, services and status live on the domain we point at your registrar account—not ours. That first build is the published therapist website, not a later SEO phase.
Launch mechanics overlap private practice website launch checklist and therapy practice launch checklist. If you are still qualifying, training pages are separate from claiming a title you do not yet hold.
| Day-one HTML | Left off |
|---|---|
| Fee and session format in visible text | Waiting for authority before publishing |
| Status you already hold, linked to the register | A title you are still training for |
| One URL per real service | City landing pages you do not serve |
| Structured data beside those paragraphs | JSON-LD added months later as a bolt-on |
| Search Console after the site is live | A promised ranking date |
What we put where Google can fetch it
Google’s SEO starter guide and helpful content guidance frame clear, people-first pages—not keyword stuffing on a blank domain.
A sitemap lists the URLs you want crawled. Search Console shows coverage once the property is verified; seeing a URL indexed is not the same as holding a position.
Service and offer facts repeat in structured data from the first design so crawlers and answer engines read the same sentences visitors see—we do not treat schema as a later SEO project.
What a new practice does not have yet
No old paths to redirect unless you already published a page somewhere. No analytics history to compare. No reason to paste training testimonials as if they were client reviews.
BACP’s private practice toolkit reminds you what the public needs to know; we turn that into pages, not into invented demand.
Delivery is still usually within 7–14 days once we have your facts and two design rounds complete—that window is build time, not a ranking timeline.
Broader search work when you want it
This guide is the new-practice baseline. Deeper ongoing search help lives on SEO for therapists, local SEO for therapists when you have a real room or service area, and technical SEO for therapists for crawl and markup questions.
Online-only reach without a borrowed town: online therapy SEO UK.
Same published studio prices
Newly qualified counsellors are not quoted a student discount. Standard Managed is £149 setup and £49 a month for 12 months, then Website Care at £39. Growth Managed is £249 and £69 a month, then £49, when each real service needs its own page. Prices include VAT. Scope: therapist website design.
Answer-engine clarity is part of the same HTML—not a generator. See answer engine optimisation for therapists when you want that framing spelled out.
We do not buy directory placements, promise enquiries or sell rankings as part of the build.
