What is the difference between a counsellor, therapist and psychotherapist?
Does the title tell you the training?
Not by itself. Counsellor, therapist and psychotherapist are used in overlapping ways. Practitioner psychologist titles protected by the HCPC are a separate matter. Check the register the person names. This page is not a training prospectus.

Use the register, not the word
A website should show the membership the practitioner actually holds, with a link to the public register where one exists. “Accredited” is not the same claim for every body. We will not put a credential on a practice site unless you can point to it.
