Squarespace for therapists in the UK
Is a Squarespace template enough for a therapy practice?
Often, at the start. Squarespace templates can look calm, and the platform documents search settings, a sitemap, structured data and URL mappings. The limit is the practice, not a ban on the tool: fees, formats and rooms still have to be pages a stranger can use.
What the templates are good at
A therapist who wants photography, a short menu and one clear offer can do that well on Squarespace. Set the page title and description. Put the fee on a page, not only in a summary block. Use URL mappings when an address changes, in Squarespace’s own format, while the domain still points there.
A couples therapist whose homepage is a full-bleed room, with fees buried under a journal post. The fix on Squarespace is to give fees their own page and link it from the session page. That does not require a rebuild. A rebuild is for when the template cannot hold two formats, a room and an online scope as separate decisions.
Platform details were checked against the vendors’ own pages on 3 October 2026. Plan names and prices change with currency, term and promotion, so the figure on the vendor’s pricing page that day is the one to use. This page does not copy a checkout price.
When leaving is a content project
Squarespace can export some text. It does not export the design, the forms or every image in place. Blog posts you want to keep need a decision: keep the URL, or fold the useful paragraph into a service page and redirect the post. Email DNS is separate from the template. The migration guide lists that inventory. This page is the decision. The redesign page is the build.
