Google Ads

Google Ads for therapists and the practice website

Google Ads is Google’s paid search product, governed by Google’s advertising policies—not by this studio. If you or an agency run campaigns, the landing page should state the same service, fee and enquiry path as the ad. This guide summarises policy sources for UK therapy wording, then how a bespoke site gives ads, organic search and AI answers a clear HTML destination with structured data.

Two adults. You can come together, or one of you can write first. 60 minutes · £90.

The website we deliver

Who runs what

Your Google Ads account holds keywords, budgets, billing and policy status. Therapist Website Studio publishes the website: services, fees, credentials and enquiry or booking actions in HTML on your domain.

Campaign setup, bid strategy and ad disapprovals sit with you or the marketer you appoint. The published website and Managed care fees cover the site layer only; ads management is outside that offer on the pricing page.

Google policy pages to read first

Google’s advertising policies apply to every ad. Therapists should also read the healthcare and medicines policy, which sets restrictions on health-related advertising and lists categories Google treats differently. Eligibility can depend on geography and certification rules on Google’s site—check the live policy rather than a blog summary.

The restricted targeting in personalized advertising policy names sensitive categories, including health, where personalized ad targeting is limited. That is Google’s ad product rule, separate from how you write the organic pages on your site.

UK advertising law and ASA guidance on health therapies expect claims to be substantiated and not misleading. Ad copy and the landing page should describe the therapy you offer without promising outcomes you cannot evidence.

Landing pages that match the ad

A click should land on a URL that names the same reader, modality and fee the ad mentions. If couples counselling is in the headline, the destination is the couples page with the couples fee in text—not a generic homepage with the fee buried in an image.

Google’s SEO starter guide and helpful content guidance describe useful, specific pages. Paid and organic channels can share that HTML; they are separate products in Google’s stack. When you are not running ads, the same pages still support SEO for therapists and AI answers.

What the studio delivers for ad traffic

We compose therapist website design so each real service has a crawlable URL, enquiry action, and structured data beside the sentences you approve. Need a dedicated route for a campaign? That URL is part of the site build when the service is genuine.

For where else a practice appears, see where to advertise a therapy practice. Therapy Search UK is a separate free directory; ads may point at your domain while directories keep their own listings.

Published prices for the practice website

Standard Managed is £149 setup and £49 a month for 12 months, then Website Care at £39. Growth Managed is £249 and £69 a month, then £49, when each real service needs its own page. Prices include VAT. Outright is £650 or £995. The domain stays in your name. The monthly fee on Managed is management, not paying the site off.

Google Ads spend, agency retainers and click costs are billed by Google or your marketer, not included in these website figures.

Questions

Does Therapist Website Studio set up Google Ads campaigns?
The published offer is the practice website. You or your appointed marketer creates and runs the Ads account; we build the landing pages the ads can point to.
Can an ad say I am the best therapist in my town?
Google’s policies and ASA health advertising guidance restrict misleading superiority claims. The studio writes factual service and status copy for the site, not unverifiable ranking lines for ads.
Is ads management included in Managed website care?
Managed and Website Care cover the site—content updates, hosting and the technical layer—not keywords, bids or ad disapprovals in Google Ads.
